Elderly mistreatment: case reports and commentaries about medical aproachs | |

Elderly mistreatment is a serious dilemma. With the populational aging, the tendency will be an increasing in the number of new cases. Besides the dificulties related to the identification of elderly mistreatment, it has frequently been observed that the patient’s management associated to an effective intervention has not correctly been performed in order to change this situation. Here, are reported three cases of elderly mistreatment that we experienced in our institution. It is described the necessity to individualize the therapeutic approach for each single case.
